About Murray Marshall

I started my working life at the BBC External Services in 1959 and only came to printmaking late in the day. I did an MA at Winchester School of Art where I was introduced to the concept and skills of making artist's books. In my attic studio I now make monoprints using a converted mangle.I love the freshness and immediacy of the monoprint as well as the slight uncertainty about what has happened once the paper has gone through the press. With my books I aim to subvert conventional wisdom and the commercial publishing business. I like largeish topics such as the beginning of the universe.
